Since moving to South Florida ten years ago, Palm Beach has become one of my favorite places. While I’ll likely never become an actual “Palm Beacher,” as that generally means you live ON Palm Beach in a massive mansion, I can admire the picturesque views from afar, and visit periodically.
But of course, what I really visit for…is the shopping! Known as “Rodeo Drive of Florida”, Lake Worth Avenue has been the place to shop for generations. The picture below is from 1925.
Shops, like my personal favorite, C. Orrico, and Mary Mahoney Designs on Worth Avenue, make for a shopping experience one will never forget.
Not far from Worth Avenue is City Place, a more recent, but still upscale shopping venue. Known for its night life and downtown festivals, City Place has become the latest attraction and “hot spot” in Palm Beach.
Of course, if you’d rather stick to the mall shopping, we have one of those too! The Gardens Mall in Palm Beach Gardens, just north of Palm Beach, is my personal shopping venue (as you know…when you live somewhere, you never go anywhere!) Out of all the malls to choose from in South Florida from Palm Beach to Miami, this is my one stop shop with all the hottest designers, labels and of course, Nordstrom, Lilly Pulitzer and Tory Burch!
Outside of beaching, relaxing and shopping, we do have a museum or two as well! The Henry Flagler Museum is a gorgeous mansion detailing the history of Palm Beach, Mr. Flagler’s life and his interesting collection of antiquities.
I hope you enjoyed my little tour of Palm Beach today, hope to see you visiting South Florida very soon!
Happy Friday Y’all!
Oh, isn't that fabulous?!
ReplyDeleteI would love to visit someday!
Have a great weekend.
What a gorgeous place! I definitely need to get down there soon. Shopping here I come! :)
ReplyDeleteLove this post! The Gardens Mall is my favorite mall in the country! :) We have family that live in PGA National, and visit that mall frequently. The last time I was there Lilly Pulitzer was having a huge sale! I also enjoy City Place, it's Banana Republic is usually well stocked. Thanks for the reminder that warmer weather exists!
