Lallie pictures, bananna bread and Craig's List finds

We've just been relaxing and hanging out this January.  We traveled to north Florida in early January and other than that, we've just been hanging around, visiting with friends and relaxing around the house.
Lallie, of course, has been playing with my iphone and ipad.  The picturest I find after the fact always give me a chuckle.
Husband and Lallie have been making bananna bread.....a lot.  Lallie loves making it but she she doesn't like eating it because it feels like she's eating slugs.  I guess the banannas are a little slimey to her.  I love how children look at the world and describe things.
Husband and I have also been back to finding Craigs's List furniture.  We have been so lucky in the past so in an effort to continue furnishing, we started looking around.  Here's a couple of our latest finds.
Ethan Allen chairs (from the '90s when furniture was still made well).  The fabric is a little faded and I have made absolutely no secrets about how much I despise the yellow and blue with bees.  I'm not a bee fan and I'm not a French Country decor fan either.  Husband loves them but the condition was we would get them recovered.   They are in excellent shape and were never actually used.  They were just decor in a large home.
Two chairs - $400!!  These sosell for between $1,800 and $2,000 now.
We also picked up this Bassett armoire which matches our Thomasville bedroom set absolutely perfect!  The knobs are even the same (same manufacture/maker??)
Anyways, we picked this up down in Fort Lauderdale and the hutch nearly broke Husband and his friend's backs.  It was unbelievably heavy (from what I'm told).
Brand new, never been used, some of the hardware not even installed....
$250!!  This is a $2,000 piece.  SCORE!
(horrible picture!)
That's all for now!
Happy Thursday Y'all!

Visit to the American Girl Store

Last Monday, Lallie and I headed down to South Miami to the American Girl store for a good friend's birthday party.  We traveled with our friends Kristie and Emily and Kristie and I could hardly have an adult conversation due to the shrills of thrill coming from the backseat.  Emily and Lallie were just SO excited!
The girls ready for a party!
Just arrived, SO excited!
Up and and away head Caroline and her friend, Casey.
Riding the balloon like Saige (the American Girl of the year).
So many awesome accessories!

Caroline changed into her new party dress for the luncheon.

Ashleigh News and Disney World

Well, I have a ton of posts planned for this week with loads and loads of pictures from our holiday escapades.  We had lots of family visits, a trip to Disney World, a Christmas open house.  Lots of fun!

But first, BIG news...BIG BIG news! Ashleigh is PREGNANT!!  She's ten weeks along and broke the news to everyone last week after her first appointment.  I can't wait for this sweet little bundle of joy to come along.  I only wish I lived closer to Ashleigh to watch her prepare for the impending arrival.  So unbelievably excited!!  I'm excited to keep everyone up to date on her progress too.  Next appointment, in four weeks (but she's having a blood test in a couple weeks that supposedly can now tell the sex of the!)

In other news, here's some pictures and videos from our trip to Disney World.  We now have annual passes since Lallie is old enough to go more often (at at Florida resident rates, an annual pass is almost the same cost as two days of tickets for the three of us, so it's a real deal!)  With the annual pass, we didn't feel we had to see everything in one shot and we were able to park hop.  So we were much more relaxed with our visit this time around.

We visited the weekend before Christmas and Friday and Saturday weren't busy at all.  But come Saturday night at the Magic Kingdom, it was nearly standing room only.  But they had so many different shows on the main stage, that we really didn't wander too far (other than standing in the Winnie the Pooh line for an hour).

Did I mention it was cold too?  It was FREEZING!!  We had sweaters and jackets on and were still cold. So it looks like we're wearing the same clothes all weekend, I promise we're not.  We just don't have many trendy and variety of outfits for when it's this cold.  We are South Floridians after all!  It got down to 39 degrees on Saturday night.  Unseasonably cold for Florida!  Anyways, on to the pictures!

Train Ride at the Magic Kingdom.
The Carousel, It's A Small World and Soarin' (at Epcot) are Lallie's favorite rides.
Swiss Family Robinson House
50 foot tall Christmas tree at our hotel, Fort Wilderness Lodge
Lallie is 3.5 feet tall....Can you see her?
UNBELIEVABLE Christmas lights at Magic Kingdom.  The picture doesn't do it justice.
The lifesize gingerbread house at the Grand Floridian

Cocktails at the Lodge while Lallie slept on the couch (she'll sleep anywhere)
Hollywood Studios - I LOVE that girl's sweatshirt in the background.  Wonder why?  ;)
The lights at Hollywood were amazing!  Check out the video below.
Hot chocolate with my girl.
Yay for Rapunzel and Animal Kingdom!
Like I said, Lallie will sleep anywhere....even through the Electrical Parade!  See video below.
We FINALLY met Rapunzel!

The first video is Lallie sleeping right through the loudest parade I've ever experienced.  Wait until about :38 seconds to really see her face.  She's full on drooling!  ;)
The second video is the amazing light show at Hollywood Studios.

Happy Monday Y'all!
