Hermit Crabs!

This past weekend was our annual church picnic.  The Faith, Fun and Development team did a great job and had a fabulous kids section, complete with hermit crab races!  Except for lunch, Lallie spent her entire time playing with and racing the hermit crabs.

The requirements to enter the race were that you had to name your particular crab.  No surprise here that Lallie's was named Rapunzel (which is the biggest crab in the above picture, closest to the black line).  We are thrilled she had such a good time with them!  Just a couple weeks ago, we visited our local oceanographic museum and she was scared to death of the little creatures!  We're happy that the fear has subsided and we're anticipating a pet hermit crab someday soon!

Happy Tuesday Y'all!

  2. Uuuummmmm, I won't tell ya that I used to race hermit crabs in college at well, shall we say a "liquid refreshment,' hole in the wall! Oh the memories you just brought back! hahahahahaha!

Had a wonderful crabby for a class pet one year. Ironically I went out for a lovely seafood dinner one night (a relative of said pet) and came to school the next day to find our beloved crab dead. It's like he knew I had King crab the night before! Ohhhhh, the guilt!!! Of course I never told the kinderGators!

    Lallie looks adorbs as always!!!
