I'm baaackkkk.....

But that's because it's Friday and I'm making a point to blog today.  Next week, I will probably be back in busy mode.  But no worries!  If you go back to this time last year, I was a little absentee then as well.  Anyways, this is going to be long!
So, what's been going on in the SLPS household?

As you all know, Husband and I went to the Kentucky / Florida game in Gainesville and had a fantastic time!

Met new friends, hung out with old friends,  got slaughtered by the Gators and I had to enjoy a special first-time Gator-gate ritual.

I had to take a chug of rum off the rum tap.

Now, I don't like hard liquor... okay, maybe mixed into a pina coloda with a lotta pina coloda stuff, but that's about the extent.  So I took as little a chug as possible and it was quick.  I think I was a disappointment to the on-lookers.  Hey, what are you supposed to do when 50 people are all yelling "chug, chug, chug" at you and you're the enemy in their territory?

We sat in the Gator Alumni section.  Let's just say that we politely sat down and refused to "sway"
during the 3rd quarter Gator song that they sing.
But really, these Gators are hard-core!  They had 9 tents, at least 25 chairs, a keg tap, a rum tap, two big screen TV's attached to the trailer, two grills, tables, games, potluck style meal, prime swamp tailgating location handed down through the family for generations .... and the list goes on!  I mean, just look at this picture.... hard core I tell you!
Despite it being a Gator-gate.  Gators, don't let my radient comments make you think I'm in anyway waivering on my loyalty to Kentucky football (but honestly, do you think we'll ever be a football powerhouse?  At least in my lifetime?)  Sorry, it had to be said!

Movin on:

What has Lallie been up to?
Well, as usually, Lallie is dressed in Lilly!  Here she is showing off her new backpack (one that actually fits her tiny little body).

We've also been hanging out with our friends, Mike and Rachel and their two kids, Aidan and Lauren.  Lallie and Aidan are best friends and constantly ask the parents if they can go see each other.  So cute!  I love these videos.  Hey, if Lallie can't be the driver, she might as well be chauffeured!

On the sewing machine, I've been working on skirts and rompers for little boys (yep, that's right, I've broken out into the boy's clothes for those of you who've been asking).  I also made these adorable coveralls for Lallie for this coming fall/winter (whenever it gets cool).  I need to do a little work on the bottom, for my pattern, as this was my first run, but I still think it came out adorable!  I also made Lallie a patchwork skirt from all my leftover fabric pieces.  It took FOREVER, but I love it, she loves it, and  I can't WAIT to see her in this with her leggings and John Deere boots this fall!
In other news, Lallie CAN FINALLY REACH THE PEDALS ON HER TRICYCLE!!!!  This is BIG news for us.  She received this from her grandparents for her 2nd birthday, nearly a year and a half ago and she's been so frustrated with it since she's so tiny and short.  You should have seen how excited she was to fit into it!  "Mommy, take a picture, take a picture!!"

Lallie has also been enjoying her dance class SO much!  She cries every afternoon when I pick her up from school and she finds out that dance is not today, but it's on Wednesdays.  We actually started her in dance classes at school on Friday mornings too.  She was SO excited this morning and I'm sure I'll hear all about it when I pick her up!  This is not a great picture, but you can see how well she's doing practicing her ballet!

And last but not least, two of my friends have had babies.  Here I am with adorable Baby Bennett.  So cute and tiny!  He's actually bigger than Lallie was when she was born but I just can't imagine her being so tiny!  Bennett is such a handsome baby boy, very precious.
I don't have any pictures of the girl twins my other friend recently had.  Her son and Lallie are in the same class at school and Lallie now insists that she doesn't want one brother or sister, she wants two!
Oh me oh my!
So, I think that catches you up with the SLPS household events of the past couple of weeks.
It may not seem exciting to you, but it's certainly exciting to us!

Happy Friday Y'all!
