Ashleigh News and Disney World

Well, I have a ton of posts planned for this week with loads and loads of pictures from our holiday escapades.  We had lots of family visits, a trip to Disney World, a Christmas open house.  Lots of fun!

But first, BIG news...BIG BIG news! Ashleigh is PREGNANT!!  She's ten weeks along and broke the news to everyone last week after her first appointment.  I can't wait for this sweet little bundle of joy to come along.  I only wish I lived closer to Ashleigh to watch her prepare for the impending arrival.  So unbelievably excited!!  I'm excited to keep everyone up to date on her progress too.  Next appointment, in four weeks (but she's having a blood test in a couple weeks that supposedly can now tell the sex of the baby.....wow!)

In other news, here's some pictures and videos from our trip to Disney World.  We now have annual passes since Lallie is old enough to go more often (at at Florida resident rates, an annual pass is almost the same cost as two days of tickets for the three of us, so it's a real deal!)  With the annual pass, we didn't feel we had to see everything in one shot and we were able to park hop.  So we were much more relaxed with our visit this time around.

We visited the weekend before Christmas and Friday and Saturday weren't busy at all.  But come Saturday night at the Magic Kingdom, it was nearly standing room only.  But they had so many different shows on the main stage, that we really didn't wander too far (other than standing in the Winnie the Pooh line for an hour).

Did I mention it was cold too?  It was FREEZING!!  We had sweaters and jackets on and were still cold. So it looks like we're wearing the same clothes all weekend, I promise we're not.  We just don't have many trendy and variety of outfits for when it's this cold.  We are South Floridians after all!  It got down to 39 degrees on Saturday night.  Unseasonably cold for Florida!  Anyways, on to the pictures!

Train Ride at the Magic Kingdom.
The Carousel, It's A Small World and Soarin' (at Epcot) are Lallie's favorite rides.
Swiss Family Robinson House
50 foot tall Christmas tree at our hotel, Fort Wilderness Lodge
Lallie is 3.5 feet tall....Can you see her?
UNBELIEVABLE Christmas lights at Magic Kingdom.  The picture doesn't do it justice.
The lifesize gingerbread house at the Grand Floridian

Cocktails at the Lodge while Lallie slept on the couch (she'll sleep anywhere)
Hollywood Studios - I LOVE that girl's sweatshirt in the background.  Wonder why?  ;)
The lights at Hollywood were amazing!  Check out the video below.
Hot chocolate with my girl.
Yay for Rapunzel and Animal Kingdom!
Like I said, Lallie will sleep anywhere....even through the Electrical Parade!  See video below.
We FINALLY met Rapunzel!

The first video is Lallie sleeping right through the loudest parade I've ever experienced.  Wait until about :38 seconds to really see her face.  She's full on drooling!  ;)
The second video is the amazing light show at Hollywood Studios.

Happy Monday Y'all!

  3. Your pictures really make me want to visit at Christmas. Our first visit was this year's Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween. I fear we were spoiled with no lines, holiday extras and discounted price. It's preventing me from buying the Florida resident pass and...shudder...wait in lines!
