Operation SELL JEEP! (and change of a monogram)

The end of this month marks by bestie's birthday.  Y'all know bestie, she's Ashleigh a/k/a Auntshleigh a/k/a GW (you don't want to know.)

Well, she received her birthday present in the mail yesterday and knowing her, she just couldn't wait and opened it anyway (thus the birthday post today instead of the end of the month).  I got her this:

Isn't it cute?  It is my firm belief that all women should have a monogrammed, indestructible L.L. Bean bag.  Seriously, these things cannot be destroyed!

So, why did I put her name instead of her monogram?  Well, hopefully in the next year, she will no longer be

but....

And, being that her birthday wish is "...to sell my boyfriend's 2nd vehicle (a Jeep Wrangler) so he can buy me a ring..." and being that I personally can't produce said buyer of Jeep.  I got her an L.L. Bean bag.

Of course, if I lived in her large town, I would take these flyers, stand in the middle of downtown and hand them out....in honor of her birthday....to secure a buyer of the Jeep.  (She'd like a green and black wedding and this it the best I could do with my limited Photoshop skills.  Don't you like her feathered Derby hat?)

Ashleigh, maybe your mom should post this flyer on facebook?  You never know! ;-)

So, HAPPY HAPPY HAPPY BIRTHDAY to my bestie in the whole wide world.

And here's to getting your birthday wish this year.  I love you!!

Happy Thursday Y'all!

  4. This is way too cute!!! I got my brother-in-law's girlfriend a tote for graduation. I'm thinking of just getting her name or an "S" on it. I think they will be getting engaged soon, too, and I don't want it to be a short-term bag.

  5. I have been dealing with the battle of the monogram. I keep wanting to order things but knowing my monogram is changing I haven't done it. I also ordered those totes for my bmaids' gifts. I got the lands end version since I managed to get my hands on a 25% off and free shipping coupon. I went for the name instead of the monogram bc at least one will be changing her monogram in the next 3 or 4 months.

  8. Smart idea with her name instead of the monogram! Love that bag! Mine has my maiden name monogram on it, but I definitely need to get another with my married monogram! Such a cute post!

  10. I ordered the pink tote last week, but it's on backorder until late June. I need a beach bag before then! Now seeing turquoise, I may need it. You can never have too many, right?
