Easter Weekend

We had a fantastic Easter weekend!  It all started with Lallie's school spring program a couple weeks ago.  The kids sang songs about Easter and springtime...there is nothing more adorable than 3, 4 and 5 year old toddlers dancing the Chicken Dance.

Lallie had a blast dying Easter eggs with Daddy and I.

Easter morning brought great excitement and laughter as Lallie received a basket filled with some small toys, chocolates and new roller skates!  The roller skates were definitely an adventure!

Then it was time to head to church for Easter service and an egg hunt.

After church, in mid-afternoon, we headed over to some friend's for dinner.  Rachel's grandmother had recently passed and her her grandmother's mother's dishes, made in 1919, were passed down to her.  Rachel is a wonderful cook and fixed a three course meal using authentic and made from scratch 1920's recipes.  We had roast, leek and potato soup, salad and roasted carrots.

I was so proud of Lallie for trying the leek and potato cold soup.  She loved it!

And of course, one more Easter egg hunt for the day!  (Her hair was still wet from just getting out of the pool).

I'm looking forward to catching up on all your Easter festivities!

Happy Monday Y'all!

  5. I saw the top picture and thought, "How cute!!" Then I scrolled down and saw all the rest, which are equally adorable, of course! I love Lallie's smocked dress and pearls. Roller skates are a perfect gift, lots of fun to use over and over. Great thinking, mom. Looks like you had a great Easter!
