Want It? Get It? - Target

This weekend was Ashleigh's bachlorette party weekend! AND, my camera refuses to cooperate! You'll get pictures tomorrow. In the meantime, Ashleigh gave me a little scolding for not posting fashion and skincare type posts anymore. So to appease Ashleigh (and any other readers out there that read and enjoyed my fashion posts)...I'm going to try to be more diligent about posting daily.

So today, I thought I'd write a Want It? Get It! post.

We all love shoes. We are all hard on shoes. I am especially hard on shoes and tend to refrain from buying expensive high end shoes for that reason. I love my Tory's, Lilly's and Bonanno's...don't get me wrong, but I don't wear them as often as I like for this reason. I mean, a majority of my life is spent on asphalt paved parking lots (due to my job), in parks or schools (due to Lallie) or the beach (flip flops!) So, whenever I see a $250+ shoe, I wince because I would love to have the shoes, but wouldn't dare spend that much out of fear of nasty scuffs and bumps.

What's a girl to do?

I actually have these last flats and get asked all the time if they are the Tory Burch flats as you can hardly tell when they are on!  They have held up really well too!

You've Got Answers, I've Got Questions!

You've got answers, I've got questions. Everyone seems to be doing the Q and A however asking the blogg"er" the questions and then they answer. Well, I'm the opposite, I've got the questions and I want YOU to answer. In the meantime, if you want to ask me a question...go for it, I'll answer in future posts! 1) Where is a great place to buy fantastic bed sheets with high threadcount for a reasonable price?

2) What cleaner do you use on your white Corian sink to keep it nice and white? I'm struggling with this.

3) Lallie's hair is so long compared to most kids her age. We love it and will never cut it! Ever! But, I'd love some great ideas of something to put in her hair besides just ribbons and bows. Know of any great tutorials or etsy shops?


4) I really want to go back to wearing some of my closed toe heels and pumps now that my hip is feeling a little better, but I can't walk in them, my feet slide and my toes crunch. What insert do you all recommend? (like I assume Dr. Scholl's foot pads? - I don't know the name).


5) What Twitter texting app do you use for you Blackberry?


6) What pens do you use for your Mom Agenda? I don't like the ones I bought at all! Need something bright!


7) I'm going to be starting the Couch to 5K soon. First I need a jogging stroller. Any suggestions for your runners with kids?

Wish List - Dream Big

Everyone always says to "dream big," so I shall do just that on my wish list! Of course, this would be if I were rich - okay, really, really, really rich. But still, one can dream, eh? :-)

Notice how I'm not calling this my Christmas wish list - there is a reason for that. I want not and I need not, and I am extremely and truly blessed. I have everything I could ever possibly need, plus some, so to say this is a Christmas wish list, to me anyways, would be completely against the true meanig of Christmas. This is purely for fun!

Okay, moving on....I have broken this down into categories. First ME!

I love this Milly Ruffle Sleeve Merino Wool Dress. It's the classic cocktail dress, with just a tiny bit of flair. Perfect for any cocktail occasion and can be worn with some simple shoes or some great shoes. As Pretty In Pink Megan said in her blog post yesterday, wearing a matching color shoe is so passe!

I love White House Black Market. I do own several things from there. They have great sales and are much more affordable and in my price range, while looking like (and feeling like) I'm wearing a more expensive outfit. I've tried a similar shirt, but it was much longer and poofier, this style would suit my body type much better as it doesn't gather in the waistline.

Of course, the shoe of the year is Tory Burch Lissie, which is apparently hard to find. I hear Nordstrom has sold out! I love the silver (very versitle) with the studded logo. So pretty!

Ah, the Chanel (09/2010) Lambskin Quilted Captoe boot. I love these and this is just a "nice to look at, pretty to hold" but not to buy. It must be a $1,200.00 boot! But is this NOT gorgeous! (I'm not sure how I feel about the lambskin either - I keep thinking about Husband's cousin's wife who has lambs on her farm, she would not approve!)


Okay - moving onto the family! We would love to have a sectional for our new living room. It would suit the room perfectly. I love this one from Pottery Barn, with a different fabric/color and the extended ottoman on the other side.



We haven't purchased pool deck furniture yet, really don't need any (we have a faux wicker set which works perfectly), but again, I would love all teak. Since we live in Florida, the cushions would never work (moldy = yucky!), but if California - most definately!

Next comes Lallie! She will be moving into a big girl's bed in just a few months. Husband wants a princess bed for his little princess. Isn't this darling and I already have the bedding set!



Everyone knows how I love Lilly. Normally, I go for the pink and green, but with winter, navy has been my color choice for this year. This Odile dress is so cute and I think Lallie would look adorable in it!


Last but not least, for the man of the house, the one who always provides but never asks for anything, a Rolex. Just a simple Oyster Precision Submariner Chronometer Stainless Steel watch (okay, how is that simple? I had to look 4 times to get that name right and don't even know what half of it means, I'm sure Husband does!) He loves watches and I think for him, this would be the ultimate gift!

So, that's my "Dream Big" wish list!

Linsday Phillips Shoes - LOVE them!

Lindsay Phillips, the inventor of Switch Flops, has now come out with a Switch Ballet Flat. While I am not a fan of the switch flops, I love her new flats.

I simply adore shoes and am always looking for new ones with different embellishments. Somedays I want something simple, somedays I want something with a little pearl or maybe jewel flair. Buying a pair of shoes for each of these wants can become quite costly.

So, I bought a pair of silver Lindsay Phillips Liz flats (also available in gold, copper and black). Each pair comes with one embellishment and then you get to choose a second one. They snap on and off easily and there are many varieties of embellishiments (though I wish she'd make a pearl one).

As a review, here are my favorite points:

• They wear well with skirts, dresses, jeans, capris, tights, casual, dressy.
• The variety of embellishiments is endless, especially if you bought all of them. They are $12.00 each.
• They are SUPER comfortable. They insoles are padded like you're wearing Dr. Scholls and the backs are fabric and do not cut into your achilles tendon. They are also snug so they don't slip on and off
• They first pair of shoes and two embellishments (one already on the shoe) retail for around $65.00.
• The snaps are secure, to avoid the falling off of your flair.

So far I have the silver Liz flats (they come with the flower) with the Ila and Joy flair and I love them. My Florida toes (which are exposed for 11 months of the year) are finally happy in a pair of closed-toe flats! Yay!
