You've Got Answers, I've Got Questions!

You've got answers, I've got questions. Everyone seems to be doing the Q and A however asking the blogg"er" the questions and then they answer. Well, I'm the opposite, I've got the questions and I want YOU to answer. In the meantime, if you want to ask me a question...go for it, I'll answer in future posts! I look forward to your Q and A's!!!

1) Where is a great place to buy fantastic bed sheets with high threadcount for a reasonable price?

2) What cleaner do you use on your white Corian sink to keep it nice and white? I'm struggling with this.

3) Lallie's hair is so long compared to most kids her age. We love it and will never cut it! Ever! But, I'd love some great ideas of something to put in her hair besides just ribbons and bows. Know of any great tutorials or etsy shops?

4) I really want to go back to wearing some of my closed toe heels and pumps now that my hip is feeling a little better, but I can't walk in them, my feet slide and my toes crunch. What insert do you all recommend? (like I assume Dr. Scholl's foot pads? - I don't know the name).

5) What Twitter texting app do you use for you Blackberry?

6) What pens do you use for your Mom Agenda? I don't like the ones I bought at all! Need something bright!

7) I'm going to be starting the Couch to 5K soon. First I need a jogging stroller. Any suggestions for your runners with kids?

8) In regards to running, running shoes???

9) I need a GREAT website or cookbook for easy crock-pot meals. Lallie n
eeds to eat more veggies, we need to eat healthier, but as a working mom, I just don't have time for full meals and we need to spice things up.

10) Under the eye dark spots. My mom let me try some Oil of Olay regenerative eye cream for the daytime the other day, it worked great, for the one day. But, before I go out and buy, any other possible recommendations or reviews of the Oil of Olay?

11) What is your absolute "must read" of the season? Lately, I've read, Overnight Socialite, reading The Help, American Wife, loads of others!

  1. My best luck with sheets has actually been at TJ Maxx or Marshalls... they don't always have what you need, but it's definitely worth a peek.

I've also purchased at JC Penny (usually online during some kind of a promotion).

That's all the answers I've got for today. I'm on the hunt for new books too!

  2. I LOVE how you have questions! Nice change from others want us to ask questions!!

I don't have a lot of answers but...

    - I have found that the Pilot P-700 pen works great on the momAgenda. In black of course...because it's professional.

-Like Classy Fab Sarah, I shop the sales at JCPenney. I know that is not the normal "go-to" store for high thread count, but when they have sales, THEY HAVE SALES!!! And their brands last. My Waterford sheet set that was too expensive to even discuss doesn't stand a chance next to the ones I purchased at Penneys.

-Kraft.com has lots of great crockpot recipes

    Have a great Day!
    xoxo

  3. Lots of questions... and I have few answers for you.
For sheets- I like Home Goods, Marshall's and TJMaxx. Sometimes Bed, Bath, and Beyond will have a good deal.
Pens- I like the new Sharpies, and the Flair colored pens.
Twitter app- I like Uber Twitter.

And that's all I can help with.

  4. What a great idea to post your questions. Just last night I was wondering about something and thought to myself that I should ask on my blog so that I could get some help. :-)

For sheets, I really like the Martha Stewart sheets at Macy's. As for the under eye stuff, I use Trish McEvoy Correct and Brighten. It really works on shadows and areas that are light-dark (if that makes sense). I also use it around my nose to cover up some redness.

  5. Here's what I can help you with...

    1) Where is a great place to buy fantastic bed sheets with high threadcount for a reasonable price? I actually got 800TC sheets at Target (granted, it was on Black Friday) for $30. At least I think it was 800 for $30. The sheets were most definitely over the 600TC mark. Keep your eyes peeled...and, honestly, their high TC sheets are almost always under $100. I have a king size bed, too, and buying regular sheets for that size bed is not cheap!

    2) What cleaner do you use on your white Corian sink to keep it nice and white? I'm struggling with this. We have a stainless steel sink...have you tried Soft Scrub?? Maybe that's too harsh. My parents have a white porcelain sink. Hmm...

    4) I really want to go back to wearing some of my closed toe heels and pumps now that my hip is feeling a little better, but I can't walk in them, my feet slide and my toes crunch. What insert do you all recommend? (like I assume Dr. Scholl's foot pads? - I don't know the name). I bought some toe thingies at Macy's (and I think they sell them at Target, too). They are shaped like a flower and they are meant for the ball/pad of your foot in the toe area. It helps keep your feet from sliding forward. I can't think of who makes them or the exact name though...maybe it is toe petals or something. ;)

    5) What Twitter texting app do you use for you Blackberry? I use Twitterberry.

    7) I'm going to be starting the Couch to 5K soon. First I need a jogging stroller. Any suggestions for your runners with kids? So ambitious...I'm jealous! I just need to learn to run. Back in the day I used my jogging stroller for walks religiously. I owned the Ditto by Dreamer Design. I had it in a double and traded it in for a single. I still have the single stroller in the garage. It was red. I loved it. I know B.O.B. makes a good jogger, too.

    8) In regards to running, running shoes??? If you have a running store in your area, go get professionally fitted! They can analyze your gait (sp?) and put you in the correct shoe. We have a store like that here.

    9) I need a GREAT website or cookbook for easy crock-pot meals. Lallie n
eeds to eat more veggies, we need to eat healthier, but as a working mom, I just don't have time for full meals and we need to spice things up.

http://crockpot365.blogspot.com or go buy Stepahie O'Dea's book "Make it Fast, Cook it Slow". I own it and love it. Her recipes are all G-free, too!

    10) Under the eye dark spots. My mom let me try some Oil of Olay regenerative eye cream for the daytime the other day, it worked great, for the one day. But, before I go out and buy, any other possible recommendations or reviews of the Oil of Olay? I've been flip flopping between Clinique's All About Eyes and Benefit's EyeCon or something like that. My darkness is hereditary, but both creams have helped.

  6. Well, I just purchased two sets of Ralph Lauren 600 TC sheets at Bloomies during their promotion--40% off plus an additional 15% off. They were still fairly expensive to me, but they are so pretty! I have several sets of RL sheets from up to 10 years ago and they are good quality and still look & feel great!
I have some basic sheets from JCP that are nice and soft & have held up well--but when I go back to the website I can't figure out which ones they are (and some of the reviews aren't too good so I haven't reordered).

  7. 1. See my post below about sheets. You really can find high quality sheets at Stein Mart, Homegoods, TJ Maxx, etc.

  8. Eye treatment - Clinique All About Eyes. They have two versions, original and "rich". I use original. I've used for 8-10 years, and honestly if I go one day without it, I look dead! I use AM and PM, even though Clinique says to use "nightly". Has REALLY helped my heredity undereye darkness and circles. If they stopped making, I would CAMP on their doorstep until someone agreed to bring it back. Seriously. And it's cheap compared to some of the others.

Sheets - I have the best luck at Bed Bath & Beyond. Make sure you have a 20% coupon (and you can use as many coupons as you have items). Plus their coupons never expire, they may have an expir. date but the stores will allow you to use after that date. This girl has a very difficult time finding sheets that will fit our master bed, as the mattress is very deep. Have to buy 20" + deep and they're pricey. Thank goodness we don't have to do it often!

Good luck on your list! :-) XOXO

  9. Great idea to ask questions!

-I'm been running for years and I recommend any shoe with gel soles and shock absorption. I have knee problems and that really helps. Right now I'm wearing Asics GT-2150.

-TJ Maxx and Marshalls are definitely great for sheets.

-I have a two year old with more hair than I've ever seen on a child. I'm still trying to figure out what to do with it....sorry.

    -I use UberTwitter

-I have a Baby Trend jogging stroller I found on sale at Target for $50. I've been using it for over 2 years and haven't had any problems.

-My must read list always includes anything new from John Grisham. He's my favorite!

  10. Ditto on the Target sheets - they are fantastic!!!!

Also - it came out last year, but if you haven't read The Girls From Ames, check it out - I did a review at http://idodeclareblog.blogspot.com/2009/12/girls-from-ames.html
