Pumpkin Fun

What would Halloween be without visiting the pumpkin patch!  H.G. and Lolly had SO much fun picking out pumpkins to carve and to decorate for Lolly's annual literary character pumpkin contest at school.

In true toddler style, pumpkin tasting is a must (don't worry, she was distracted just before the stem touched anything in her mouth). :-)

Lolly won the school contest last year with The Very Hungry Caterpillar.  This year she's stepping it up a notch with.....

Splat the Cat and his friend, Seymour the mouse!  While this was 100% Lolly's idea, mommy and daddy had to step in and assist with the pipe cleaners.  After all, we had to stuck nail holes and shove pipe cleaners all over the pumpkin.  Lolly helped for sure!

The best part is the Lolly says "I don't care if I win again, I just had fun making pumpkins with you and daddy."
Swoon.  I guess we're doing something right!!

Happy Friday Y'all!
