Lilly P. and My hand knitted things

I fully intended to do a post from this weekend but husband has my camera card! So that will have to wait until tomorrow or tonight. This is bad because I know the grandparents are just dying to see Lallie in her costume.

In the meantime, I have become a knit and purl freak! I adore knitting. Husband loves that I knit as well and has picked out a sweater vest and his own personal blanket. Every time I learn a new stitch, he wants to see what the stitch looks like. I love that he loves my new hobby. I have informed him that it will be NEXT Christmas before he gets his requests though! :-)

I am the type of person that cannot and will not sit still. I always have to be doing something. This is funny because I used to sit at my grandmother's house on her farm and ask my mom why grandma never sat down to relax. Seriously, the poor woman has NEVER eaten a full meal without getting up to assist to someone or something. I get it from her. Knitting is the only way I will sit still but still feel like I'm accomplishing something.

So far, I have a scarf for Hollon (pink of course) and a pink/green one for me that will be finished this week. (Conveniently, my pink and green scarf, matches this:)

AND, I have now started on a light pink cardigan sweater pattern. Now, how nifty would it be to have a pale, pale pink sweater cardigan to go with this Worth Shift?

Or maybe this Anya Dress (I LOVE this dress)?

I am a huge fan of Lilly's printed pants. I just think they are not only comfortable, but just plain fun. These Phipps pants are my favorite right now (wait...they are ALL my favorite!)

Husband, I know you are reading this and saying "Hey, what about my sweater?" I have a very good reason. Knitting can be an expensive hobby, so I am using a cheaper, scratchier cotton than I would use normally. Why? This is my first non-scarf pattern, and if I make mistakes, I don't want my husband to sport those mistakes, I'd rather his be perfect! Good answer honey? I thought so!

Ok - so, if you are a new knitter or would like to work on this pattern with me, let me know. We can knit together?

I want to see pictures of your creations. You are quickly becoming a pro! I want to learn to knit, but am very far behind you.
