Memorial Day BBQ and What's In It Wednesday

Good morning y'all!  Monday, Husband, Lallie and I hosted a Memorial Day BBQ at our house.  We had TONS of food and lots of people!  Seventeen adults and four kids (only four kids if you can believe that).  Everyone started coming over around noon and the last people left (the kiddos) at 7:30 p.m.  And the kids were in the pool the entire seven hours!  So, beware of Lallie's eyes, they're a little tired looking from all the chlorine.  But hey, they had an absolute blast!

We also took lots of pictures, but silly me forgot to put the camera on auto, so it was not auto focusing!  (I guess I really need to pay attention to my bucket list and learn how to use the Nikon D90).
Muncle and the sugared up Aidan and Lauren.
Rachel and I enjoying Rachel's homemade and fresh margaritas!
Lallie with our neighbor Jamie.  Poor Lallie's eyes.  But she still looks adorable to me!  :-)
BESTIES!!
My homemade Macaroni and Cheese!  Yup, with homemade cheese sauce!  It was a hit and I'll post the recipe on Friday with the recipe swap.
I guess everyone liked the Margaritas!
Sweet, sweet little Georgie!
Happy Birthday (it was our friend, Tom's 61st birthday and Rachel and Lauren made Pinkalicious cupcakes).
Half the party....the other half was inside the house.
Sangria, courtesy of my friend, Gaby!  I guess everyone liked it too!
One sleepy little boy.  He was watching Dora while taking a rest.  Of course, 10 minutes later, he was back in the pool!
I had fun looking at everyones blogs and Memorial Day pictures and glad to see everyone had a great time celebrating all those who have or are currently serving our country.  What a great day of celebration and remembrance!

Did you see that little icon at the top of my page that says "Coming Soon?"

Well, starting next Wednesday, I'm hosting
 What's In It Wednesday!

And next week will be.....your closet!

That's right!  I "summer-ized" my closet, so it's time for you to do the same.  Clean it out, donate the old, organize the new and put those winter things away.  Then, take some pictures and take us on a tour!  I've already taken pictures of mine when I "summer-ized" it last week!

I hope you'll join me!

Happy Wednesday Y'all!

  4. great pictures! I summer-ized a few weeks ago (prematurely, may I add. I was way underdressed for a week but couldn't help jumping into a summer wardrobe haha).
i also found a salvation army a few blocks away that i'm really excited about...it's great incentive to clean out the closet when it's for a good cause :)
