Islamorada Weekend

Today, we're headed to Islamorada, Florida down in the Florida Keys for the weekend with my parents. Husband and I have lived in South Florida for almost 9 years and have yet to visit the Keys. Sad I know but hey, "when you live somewhere, you never go anywhere."(picture courtesy of bserata.com)

My parents brought down their new sailboat that they had custom made and shipped from England. We're hoping to get it out on the water on Saturday. If not, there's always the tarpon feeding, the dolphin petting and other fun attractions. Not to mention the relaxation and great eating (including the International Fish Company).

I'm not 100% sure where we're staying yet. My dad made the reservations. We are super excited and look forward to a fun weekend. I'll post pics as soon as we get back!

Have a great weekend everyone!

  1. So jealous! You'll have a wonderful time and I can't wait to see the pictures.

Mr. and I went to Islamorada and Key West before Mini #2 was born and we loved it.

Enjoy the weekend and I hope you get to take that snazzy new boat out.

  2. I can't believe you've never been before! Now you'll be hooked :) I LOVE the Keys! We spend a lot of time at Grandparents vacation house down there in the summertime and throughout the year when we get the chance. It's my second home :) ENJOY!

  3. Have a great time! If you get down to Key West, my younger brother has a house off of mile 15...on the water near Baby's Coffee...

A lot of touring in Key West & bars, so not the best for babies!

Hope we are on a warming trend! The snow is melting in NJ ans warm outside...50ish!
