Weekend Recap

Good morning Y'all.

We had a great weekend at the SLPS household.

We cleaned out the garage, with the help of little Lallie!

We went shopping!  (My Lallie is a future Lilly shopper!)

We went to Toys R Us to pick up some presents for Lallie's party next weekend!  We ran into the Barbie section that has Barbie from years past.  I had this Rock Star Barbie (though they extra outfit is a new accessory, I don't remember the thigh high boots, do you?)

Also, bought Lallie a new lunchbag for school.  She loves it, I wonder why?  ;)

Of course, we spent some time in the pool.  I had my toenails painted shimmery dark green.  I liked it alot until I put on my Lilly for church.  Yeah....doesn't look so good.  Promptly going to get a new color.

We also had our good friends, Mike and Rachel over for a grill out on Saturday.  These kiddos are getting so big!!  I remember holding little Lauren and Aidan on their birthdays!  So big!

And, what's a weekend without a little crafting?
I made this courtesy of Fly Through Our Window.  I love it because I made it to specifically match our kitchen!  And it works great!

Stay tuned for Menu Planning Monday and don't forget to look at my "you know what!"  It ends on Friday!

Happy Monday Y'all!

  1. Look at that little prissy girl shopping and her cute little braids. She is a doll, Jennifer!

Looks like you all had a great weekend, my dear! I know what you mean about the funky colors on toes, it just doesn't look right when you put on your Sunday dress, lol.

  2. I like that color, but I have found that dark colors work best for me in fall and winter. You should try turquoise or another bright color. Did you see my blog post about the new Essie colors I am loving?

  3. Your daughter is so precious! If I ever have a daughter she will definitely be a Lily girl!

  4. I like the shimmery green. I can see how it might not work for church, but it's still really cute.

  5. I like the green! And I had that Barbie too but don't remember the thigh high boots either.

  6. oh my goodness i had that barbie too! wow, blast from the past. if my memory serves me right, she had a tape that came with her ... barbie and the rockers hits!

  7. Oh my, you have a little shopper on your hands ~ too cute!

Sounds like a perfect weekend to me.

  8. Wow, what a fun weekend! And I cannot believe the old Barbie's. I wish my daughter were old enough to enjoy them now because I'd seriously make her order the one I had back when. What a great idea for Mattel! :)

  9. You have to teach them how to shop correctly while they are young and Lallie looks like she's catching on quick. Smart girl! Now that lunch sack is darling.
Did you say you live in Texas? Love the pool, looks so inviting.
Okay now, I see Lallie hair is still lengthy, did you decide to keep it long? My baby girl still has that fine hair that tangles easily too, but I just can't cut it. Lots of detangler for her.

  10. Looks like the perfect weekend. So when are you available? My garage definitely could use a little cleaning as well! Haha! You're making me feel lazy!!!

Like the painted green sparkle toes by the way!

Future Lilly shopper? Better start putting some many away now, that's a dangerous thing! Have a good one!

  11. Sounds like a great weekend.

I love the picture of Lallie shopping, Lilly bag and all.

The photo of the kids sitting around the Little Tykes picnic table eating Mac & Cheese and hotdogs (complete with juice bags) brings back so many memories. We used to do that all the time when the kids were young. *sigh* I miss those days. So cute!

I put a cool blue color on my toes for the Fourth. Love it, but doesn't look too good with the Lilly either. I was thinking it has to go.

Hope you're off to a good week!

  12. I am on the hunt for easy to make gifts and that mat would be perfect! I am definitely making one this weekend.
