They look like crocs...but they are not.

What child wants to wear tennis shoes and socks all day in the heat of summer. Certainly not Hollon. She won't keep them on at school and school requires closed toe sandals. She has them but they are just for weekend, church and other outings as she would completely destroy them at school (they're white).

So, I looked high and low for kids Crocs. Sure, they're available, just not in pink for the next few months (per the three shops I visited). Of course, how dare I buy purple or green! Completely bummed, I put her in her pretty white Stride Rite sandals today with hopes they come home unscathed.

But alas, hope was just around the corner. I went to CVS and for $7.99 (a quarter of the cost of Crocs), I found these.

They look like Crocs, they feel like Crocs and they will serve the same purpose, so why not? Hey, she'll just destroy them anyways, so I think this is a great deal!

  1. My son won't wear anything but Crocs. It is such a pain to get him to wear other shoes, especially come church! Great are so right about the destroying play so hard and are so rough.

Just found your blog and love it. Became a follower so I can keep up with your happenings! Have a great weekend.
